NUSPS – Upcoming Photographic Activities (Little India Outing & “Toy Story” Talk)
Feeling tired of all hustle and bustle of life?
NUSPS 42nd MC will be organizing a street photography outing as well as a group reservation for a photographic talk this coming week to help you destress. Kindly refer to the information below for more details.
1) Street Photography Outing to Little India
Details of the outing
Date: 19 Feb 2011 (Saturday)
Bring: DSLR or any camera, water, umbrella and a plastic bag (to carry your shoes when entering the temple)
Fee: $1 (If you wish to take photos inside the Sri Veeramakaliaman Temple, optional)
We will be walking through the House of Tan Teng Niah, Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, Upper Dickson Road, Dunlop Street and Little India Arcade. (Please refer to
the map attached)

2) “Toy Story” Photography Talk
What is the “Toy Story”?
The “Macroworld” of Etienne Clement’s Photography
Hailing from London, conceptual photographer Etienne Clement will be conducting an exclusive talk during the Noise Singapore 2011 festival showcase. The talk will focus on the Paris-born photographer’s career, which began in architectural photography, and how his practice evolved into his current “macroworld” photographic series involving the creation of “other” worlds and narratives with aging toys against backdrops of dilapidated buildings.His work has been exhibited in galleries across Europe, including the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art Gateshead in Gateshead, Magda Danysz Gallery in Paris and Galeria Fruela in Madrid.
