Celebrate the end of Mid-terms by joining the Post-Processing Course and Experimental Photography Course organised by NUSPS!

1) Post-Processing Course

Details of course:
Date: 17 March 2013, Sunday
Time: 9:00am – 10:15am (for Photoshop CS6) and 10:30am – 12noon (for Lightroom 4)
Venue: PARIS Room, YIH Level 3 (opposite Starbucks)
Cost: Free
Number of slots: 30 members for each course
Instructor: Fatin Iesa and Christopher Puan

Participants can choose to go for either one course or both courses!

Course Outline:
Part 1: Basic Photoshop
• Basic layout of Photoshop, Basic Enhancement, Layers, Touch-ups and Filters

Part 2: Basic Adobe Lightroom

Things to bring:
– Laptop
– Trial Version of Photoshop and Lightroom

Instructions on downloading the trial version of software needed:

For Photoshop:
Step 1: Go to http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop&loc=en_gb
Step 2: Click the “Download Now” button in the orange rectangle. It will download a “Adobe Download Assistant” set-up program for you.
Step 3: Install this Adobe Download Assistant by running that set-up program.
Step 4: Run the Adobe Download Assistant. You can then choose the Photoshop CS6 to download.
Step 5: You need to sign in with an Adobe Account to start the download. There’s a window at the top-right corner of the program to for log in. If you have an account, just use it. If not, click “Create Adobe ID” to apply for a free account.

For Lightroom:
Step 1: Go to https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_lightroom&loc=en_gb
Step 2: Choose the language/machine of yours.
Step 3: Click the “Download Now” button in the orange rectangle.
Step 4: You need to sign in with an Adobe Account to start the download. A popup window will appear to remind you to log in. If you have an account, just use it. If not, click on “Create Adobe ID” in that message to apply for a free account.

2) Experimental Photography Course

Details of course:
Date: 23 March 2013, Saturday
Time: 9am – 12noon
Venue: Student Lounge, YIH Level 4
Cost: Free
Number of slots: 30

Course Outline:
Participants will get the chance to learn how to take close-up photographs of water droplets, fruit splashes and there will be a hands on session as well! You will also be able to try out smoke photography, bokeh customisation shots, capturing black/white background and soft focus!
