Film Photography Workshop 2018
Shooting with film cameras sounds like a memory from the distant past but do you know that film is experiencing a resurgence? There’s a reason why the Huji camera app is very popular these days because everyone wants the film look. #filmisnotdeadyo
Of course you can’t check your shots or have autofocus but hey, it’ll be a thrilling and unpredictable experience! Plus, you get to go home with filmic shots because you’re shooting the real deal!
Interested? Do join our upcoming film photography workshop and photo walk on 3 November (Week 11 Saturday)!
Sign up here at bit.ly/nuspsfilmbasics2018!
Things that you can expect:
- Introduction about film and film photography
- A disposable film camera with an included roll of film
- The thrill of not knowing what you exactly get after you take a shot
- Being challenged from making every shot counts under time constraint
- Interaction with enthusiastic members who have similar interests as you!
- Chance to win a $10 Starbucks card for your best shots
You will receive your developed and scanned negatives around one to two weeks after the workshop! Updates will be communicated through the Telegram chat.
Date: 3 November 2018, Saturday
Price: $20 per pax
Workshop: 10am – 12pm @ NUS Central Library Theatrette
Photowalk: 2pm – 5pm @ Tiong Bahru
*The price covers the cost of the cameras and the developing + digitising + packaging service. We have already sourced a bulk price for all the participants and it is definitely cheaper than doing it individually (Around $25)
Payment can be done through bank transfer (details will be sent in confirmation email) or pay in cash on 10 and 11 November at our corporate headshot booth at the open area outside LT51 in UTown, under Food Clique. (If you have any queries regarding payment, do drop us a message in telegram!)
*If you’d like to not buy a disposable camera, you can still attend the workshop and photowalk for free! (But we strongly encourage you to buy one to experience film!)
**Digital camera is also welcome for the photowalk 🙂
Here are some sample photos of what you can expect to achieve from this workshop!
